8/10. 5️⃣The plan to #FillTheFund must be anchored in #HumanRights ⚖️ and other legal obligations 🧑⚖️ under international law 📜, the polluter pays principle 🏭🤑, common but differentiated responsibilities (CBDR) 🧮, intergenerational equity 🚸 and the rights of future generations. @lienvandamme.bsky.social
7/10. 📢Not only can this be used to #PayUp4LossAndDamage ✊, it can pay for climate action at home 🏗️, healthcare 💉 and much more. 😎
6/10. 4️⃣Rich polluting countries 🤑 must raise trillions of dollars by taxing the ultra-rich 🎩, putting a Climate Damages Tax (CDT) on fossil fuel extraction 🛢️, levies on shipping 🚢 and much more.
@makepolluterspay.bsky.social
5/10. 3️⃣All money flowing in and out of the FRLD must be grants 💸 and not Loans 🚫💳. #LossAndDamage survivors ❤️🩹 should not have to take on debt to pay for a #ClimateCrisis 🌡️ they didn't cause. That would be #ClimateInjustice with interest. 🚫⚖️
@debtjustice.bsky.social
4/10. 2️⃣The plan to #FillTheFund must deliver:
▪️🪙 US$ 50 billion a year in 2027-2030 (US $ 200 Billion in total).
▪️ 💸US$ 100 billion a year in 2031-2034 (US $ 400 Billion in total).
▪️ 💰US$ 400 billion a year in from 2035 Onwards (US $ 1.6 Trillion every four years)
3/10. The rich polluting countries (e.g. USA 🇺🇸, UK 🇬🇧, Germany 🇩🇪, France 🇫🇷 and Canada 🇨🇦), corporations (e.g. Shell 🛢️, ExxonMobil ⛽️, BP 🏭) and billionaires 🤑 most responsible for the #ClimateCrisis 🔥 must pay their #ClimateDebt. ⚖️
@trocaire.bsky.social @oxfamgb.bsky.social
2/10. 1️⃣ The FRLD needs to be filled with at least US$ 400 billion a year by 2035 💰📈 to start to meet the needs ❤️🩹🏗️ of those on the frontlines in the #GlobalSouth. 🌍
@aausa.bsky.social @sciaf.bsky.social
1/10. 📢ITS TIME TO SPEAK UP 📢: On the 23rd of March ⏰ the Secretariat of the Fund for Responding to Loss and Damage (FRLD) will hold consultations 🗣️ on the draft plan to #FillTheFund 💰📈.

8/9. ✊It's time for rich polluting countries to pay their #ClimateDebt!
🔎See the attribution study from World Weather Attribution here: www.worldweatherattribution.org/la-nina-clim...
🚫💸See how little has been paid into the FRLD here: www.frld.org/pledges
7/9. 🛢️☠️With trillions being spent on fossil fuel subsidies and unjustifiable wars, we know the money is there. It's just going in the wrong direction!
6/9. 📢With a plan to #FillTheFund under development, and the rich polluting countries (e.g. 🇺🇸🇬🇧🇫🇷🇩🇪🇨🇦) who have caused the #ClimateCrisis trying to evade their responsibilities to #PayUp4LossAndDamage 💸, it's time to call them out! ✊
5/9. 🔎So yet again, countries and communities on the frontlines of the #ClimateEmergency in the #GlobalSouth are being left to pick up the bill for a crisis they did little or nothing to cause. 🚫⚖️
4/9. The Fund for Responding to Loss and Damage should be able to meet this cost, but to date only 444 million USD has been paid into the Fund, and funding requests are only being accepted for up to 20 million USD.
3/9. 💰Mozambique alone has estimated that the costs to rebuild its road system 🛣️ alone are 3.5 billion USD.
🏗️Find out about the costs of rebuilding in Mozambique here: www.ecofinagency.com/news-infrast...
2/9. 📈Scientists are confident the #ClimateCrisis has increased both the likelihood 🎲 and the intensity of the 10-day rainfall ⛈️ behind the floods, concluding that extreme rainfall spells were more intense by about 40%.
1/9. 🌊LOSS AND DAMAGE IS HAPPENING NOW 🏚️: Since late December 2025, severe #ClimateCrisis intensified flooding has affected large parts of Mozambique 🇲🇿, Eswatini 🇸🇿, South Africa 🇿🇦 and Zimbabwe 🇿🇼, killing more than 200 people ☠️, and destroying 70,000 homes 🏚️ and more than 173,000 acres of crops 🌽.

8/9. ⏰With consultations on the draft UNGA resolution ongoing, now is the time to reach out to your government to encourage them to be on the right side of history! ✉️
7/9. 🕊️In these chaotic and frightening times, countries have the opportunity to come together to back this UNGA resolution🤗, celebrate the #ICJAO 🥳 as a milestone for #ClimateJustice✊ and strengthen multilateralism 🔗 at a moment when it is urgently needed.
5/9. 👏Now Vanuatu, which led the campaign to deliver the #ICJAO, has introduced a draft 📜 United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) 🇺🇳 resolution to endorse the #ICJAO to help countries translate the legal opinion into concrete action.
4/9. 3️⃣Provide reparations 💰💌 for climate harm; and;
4️⃣Uphold #HumanRights ✊ in their responses to the #ClimateCrisis 🏗️🏥.
3/9. 2️⃣Co-operate to address #LossAndDamage 🔥⛈️🌊 suffered by people 🧑🌾 and ecosystems 🐘 (that includes filling the Fund for Reponding to #LossAndDamage);
2/9. Reaffirming existing laws ⚖️ , the #ICJAO was crystal clear on #LossAndDamage 🌊🏝️🌪️. 🎯States must:
1️⃣ Prevent climate harm ❤️🩹;
1/9. 🚨 #ICJAO UPDATE🚨: Six months ago the International Court of Justice (ICJ) ⚖️ delivered its landmark advisory opinion (AO) 📜 on the obligation of States in regards to #ClimateChange🔥. 👏Now Vanuatu 🇻🇺 has introduced a draft UN resolution to turn words into action!

1/6. “ #LossAndDamage is not an abstract concept for us Indigenous Peoples. It is the burial of ancestral houses under mud. It is the erasure of livelihoods built through generations.” 🗣️ Kalea Adrienne Aquino of #Tebtebba at #COP30.
