Organizations that profit from our suffering without materially protecting us are complicit. Justice without Black and brown trans people is theft, not liberation.

Trans justice is reduced to statements and hashtags, while material conditions remain unchanged. Survival is treated as optional.

And you will be erased.

If platforms and organizations want our trust, they must earn it.

Being silenced now by platforms and organizations that claim to stand for justice feels less like an accident and more like a continuation of that history.

Organizations that profit from our suffering without materially protecting us are complicit. Justice without Black and brown trans people is theft, not liberation.

Speak too loudly. Ask the wrong questions. Name the wrong names.

Leadership spends resources on comfort and recognition while Black and brown trans people face systemic neglect.

There is no ethical platform without transparency, accountability, and community trust.

Justice cannot be donor-approved.

Bluesky’s actions feel especially troubling given its stated values. A platform built to resist corporate control should understand how power protects itself.

Platforms often choose stability over justice. But stability for institutions is instability for marginalized lives. Silencing does not resolve conflict it suppresses it.

Many civil rights organizations claim to speak for the people, yet their actions tell another story. Grassroots needs are sidelined while leadership prioritizes branding, access, and comfort over real accountability.

This pattern is familiar. Marginalized people are welcomed as symbols, but punished as critics. Their voices are tolerated only when they are polite, grateful, and non disruptive.

Civil rights institutions talk about equity while maintaining hierarchies that exclude Black and brown trans voices from real decision-making.

Instead of redistributing resources to those most harmed, some organizations funnel money into executive salaries, luxury travel, and elite spaces far removed from the communities they represent.

Many of these institutions receive funding and praise for advocating for marginalized people, yet refuse to engage when criticized by those same communities.

Black and brown trans people are invoked in mission statements but abandoned in practice. Our lives are used to raise funds while our material needs are ignored once the money is secured.

Black and brown trans people are treated as case studies, not leaders. Their lives are exploited for grants, events, and social capital.

When justice organizations prioritize their lifestyles over material change, they become part of the harm. Accountability isn’t optional it’s the work they keep avoiding.

These institutions thrive on optics, not outcomes. Panels, PR, and hashtags replace accountability to Black and brown trans communities.

Civil rights organizations hoard influence while our communities are under attack. Power is preserved, not redistributed.

Black and brown trans voices are used in campaigns but excluded from decisions. Profit is prioritized over accountability, visibility over real liberation.

What is labeled “disruption” is often just accountability without permission.

These organizations thrive on optics. Panels, PR, and awards replace action. Meanwhile, trans people navigate life threatening violence and systemic neglect.

When large organizations complain, platforms listen. When Black and brown trans women do the same, they are labeled “divisive,” “aggressive,” or “unsafe.”

Justice is performative when it excludes Black and brown trans people. Profit built on oppression is complicity.

Panels, hashtags, and press statements replace direct action. Our communities face systemic violence while organizations celebrate optics.

It tells marginalized people that safety is conditional.
