Boy, y'all better hope the revolution never kicks off given that you're sticking all these vital data centers in the south to poison black people.

This is great work. Great. And you know what? A librarian might not know all this off the dome, but they would absolutely help you find out.

Great turnout at today's picket, lots of student support and especially strong drive-by support from passing traffic!

How the simmering UK freedom of speech row reached boiling point How did we reach a point where the UK is being compared to a 'tin pot Third World dictatorship'?

Missing the massive elephant in the room regarding Palestine Action here, Auntie. Not to mention that decades long infiltration of leftwing protest groups by the police that has led to the longest running public inquiry in British history.

Authoritarians hijacked "DEI" to explain basic decency, equality, and foundational civil rights because it conjures images of useless corporate platitudes, and I still don't think journalists helped anyone by adopting the language of bigots and oppressors

Tbf it's been much the same here--my pharmacy casually mentioned having Covid boosters in last autumn when I was picking up something else.

Many thanks for sharing (for the headline alone!)--however, most IT articles are paywalled. Is there any way to make this accessible?

Absolutely agree this needs to be amplified. Normative platforms remain a problem due to ownership, censorship and data-mining but time-specific information dissemination is crucial. I believe local radio is doing good work on this front too.

I’m always struck by the journalism that’s on Instagram that I don’t see here.

For example, this image of a protestor β€” a US citizen β€” being arrested by ICE today at a car wash in Los Angeles.

D.C. is not crime-ridden.

D.C. is not a war zone.

D.C. is not in danger.

The only threat to D.C. is the Trump regime’s authoritarian takeover.

'Place' will matter differently in relation to resources allocated (from communicative to FEMA) for climate disasters still to come. Look at the under-reporting of Hurricane Helene.

Armed masked men kidnapping people off the streets.

An illegitimate Supreme Court trampling the Constitution.

Congressional Republicans abdicating responsibilities to their King.

Fascism is here. The question is, what will you do about it?

Colbert's cancellation is a dark warning CBS's decision marks a dangerous new stage for the culture at large.

Let’s be clear: This is political censorship. Just as CBS’ parent company handed Trump $16 million to settle a spurious lawsuit, this decision is about preemptively bowing to a regime that demands obedience.

We stand with Stephen Colbert and every voice that Trump wants silenced.
