Today for me & Naill is spent moving the vehicle back from Rugeley to Newark

21 years ago today I officially became a volunteer with @stjohn-ambulance.bsky.social joining Bushbury Quadrilateral Division.
6 restructures and a few role changes later I'm still here
Starting tonight I'm supporting @stjohnambulanceire.bsky.social interviews for the new county operations leads.
Over the coming weeks these new COLs will start to transition to replace the the (my current) events team (+some bits of Amb ops & logistics) ready to steer SJA in its new direction
Thanks to the restructure, I officially have absolutely nothing @stjohnambulance related to do & no leadership responsibility for first time since 2004, so taking the chance to catch up on TV.

2 years go was just finishing up on my interview & engagement panel to become @stjohnambulance Regional Event Lead for the newly formed West Midls Region.
I'd probably have had a less turbulent & stressful 2024 if I'd not channeled my inner Jed Bartlett so much through the process
30 days, 512 miles driven, 4 Districts but only 1 @stjohn-ambulance.bsky.social West Midlands Region.
I've been delighted to be able to visit all 4 SJA districts in WMR this month to see & volunteer with the most amazing people
