This is partially true. Any work SOLELY generated by AI is void of copyright. however, if it belongs to a larger body of work authored by a human, copyright CAN indeed apply.
This is a workaround that major studios are using to exploit the tech and claim ownership of scraped content.

Hey #secondlife store owners! If you don't want people assuming all of your work is potentially AI, maybe don't use AI for anything! A lot of us are avoiding stores that use gen-ai for ANYTHING regardless of if you're selling it or not, and one use brings everything you've made under suspicion.

It's great, but there are so many players in SL who literally don't know any better; some of them aren't even English-speaking. I think this list will only do so much. A change in the rules will help protect the full ecosystem of SL because creators would face real repercussions

It will never happen out of goodwill; we need to change the rules to establish a fair market.

I'm not telling anyone to quiet down, I'm just saying that we need to fix the rules, not just the players

- Stop attending/participating to events that allow Gen AI content.
-Write a petition to Linden Lab to prohibit the use of Gen AI as a TOS rule in #Secondlife

When you bring your handmade item to an major event like equal10 Fameshed or Kustom9 it still supports gen AI creators with your traffic 😔

This is great, but then if you add this item to an event full of AI creators, people are not going to be able to tell the difference. There is no AI-free event in #SecondLlife people cant tell the difference and buy both

Preaching to the choir won't solve these issues. If they can get away with it, How many people on Blue Sky SL even care? Maybe 200? With 100000 users in SL, that number is laughable for any brand .we need to coordinate with Linden Lab meet them we could establish a rule and make a SIGNIFICANT CHANGE

I think we need to bring these concerns to Linden Lab, not the creators, because how can they do any better if they don't understand the repercussions of creating such distress in the art community? They literally added an AI chatbot for new users Why are we letting that happen?

It's obvious now, but when it becomes so good that it's impossible to tell apart, how do we fight it? All the art is plagiarized, and all the artists are out of jobs
