Random thoughts but back in middle school when DP came out I actually wore a Poketch as my watch and thought it was cool.

I got made fun of for it instead.

But here we are in 2026 and all the cool kids wear Fitbits and Apple Watches. I even use a custom Poketch skin of my Fitbit.

I'm sorry if this feels like a stab in the back to some. I don't think it applies to a whole lot of people. This isn't directed to any one person, certainly not any friends of mine.

But I can't think of any community I've dealt with so many stinkers on such a personal level

I've also just had a lot of friendships that have felt fake as hell and a good chunk of them have been from people in the furry community.

Doesn't undo the amazing furries I have that are my absolute closest friends. But a lot of the most disingenuous people I've dealt with have been proud furries

It just feels like the more people I've opened up to, the more I've ended up kicked in the face or just fucking stressed to hell

I'm tired

There is so much toxicity laying around it. From the "no dwama uwu" dinguses to the extremists who want to go around labeling/calling out everyone in sight

I want friends based on how good of a person you are and how well we get along. Not for who has the hottest paws or OCs or what have you.

5. I'm absolutely sick of furry drama and just have no interest to associate

I have so many wonderful friends that are furries. Y'all are great and I love you guys. But good lord I cannot stand furry "culture" for the most part.

1. Anthros don't do it for me, I am more into anthropomorphized ferals
2. The ones I am interested in are such a miniscule amount that I don't think it counts
3. I feel the label just doesn't fit me

Watching learning artists of any skill level reject AI to continue practicing their art makes me very proud. Let us continue to refuse the easy way out and hone our craft together 🤝
