While we could go into a lot of detail, the runs themselves are quite long, and I don’t think a lot of the information is going to be retained if it becomes too detailed. Some people really enjoy the informative commentary, but I think the banter appeals to the causal audience more since it’s silly

I think part of the charm of Pokémon runs at GDQ is actually the fun that’s usually done during the run, I feel commentary for VGC/TCG/Go tends to be purely focused on the gameplay itself with maybe a few off topic comments here and there, but the ones at GDQ are usually 70% jokes/banter
