I know people try to explain comedy via punching up versus punching down. I think that's far too complicated. Bullying isn't funny. That's it. Humor is about observation, and you can't tell jokes about people you don't know or respect. People you aren't willing to learn anything about.

The game did not use Jacob and Badman to make fun of Jamaicans or the McReary family to make fun of the Irish. They allowed jokes and tropes that those groups have circulating within their own communities to take point. I hope VI does the same.
