Last year I set my goal for a number of meetings. This year I don't want something so rigid. I just want to see more saloons. They have always been my favourite, yet I tend just to follow the F1s around because of how easy and local it mostly is
Best individual race was an easy pick for 13/7 saloon UK. The racing, the track, the atmosphere, the winner, everything was perfect. It wasn't until this year that I realised how little the saloons actually race at Skegness, but they make every journey count
I had to look elsewhere to decide which was best, with the on track product so similar. Watching 17/5 with the Tesselaar family made it more entertaining and atmospheric, especially with our collective joy for 418 on the podium in the final and 515 winning the GN on the last bend
Best meeting was hard to pick between two F1 meetings at King's Lynn on 17/5 and 11/10. I couldn't pick by the racing alone. I couldn't pick by the F2s that were also on at both meetings. The English championship was was boring on 17/5 and the GN championship was boring on 11/10
That most unique award goes to Hednesford on 30/11 where the typical stock car season was done, so I went to see my first hot rod focused meeting and hot rod championship. I found it surprisingly enjoyable even barely knowing anyone on track over a 13 race programme
It comes as no surprise to see that my most visted track is a tie between Skegness and King's Lynn at 12 meetings each
What is more interesting is four visits to Hednesford this year, with my normal two visits accompanied by the F1 British and the upcomming "most unique meeting"
This year also saw another personal best in most consecutive weeks attending a meeting. I went from F1 world final weekend to the end of the regular season with 10 weeks in a row, attending 16 meetings during this time
2025 stock car wrapped
Tomorrow, King's Lynn closes out 2025 after a total of 47 meetings attended this year. I didn't quite get to double my 28 from last year but it's still a new personal best
I'll be there eating two at a time, loving life. I get to the bottom of the tube and there's just this one awkward fucking sweet sat there looking at me and I'm looking back like WHAT THE FUCK AM I MEANT TO DO IN THIS SITUATION other than just break my perfect symmetry. Fuck this

But not ONCE have I EVER had A SINGLE FUCKING TUBE of smarties with an EVEN NUMBER
It has been a week but finally it is done. Got into split 2 for the super session with a P11 finish in the final...

I can't lie, this is mostly so I can be in the same place as my team. It was fine to be exclusively on Twitter when they were there too, and to stay there while I wasn't doing things with them, but now we have plans :) and it just makes sense to exist in both realms

I was enjoying my time on Twitter, and it's still my main platform, but it wouldn't hurt to start dual posting again. And hey, who doesn't love a new place to doomscroll, right?
Biggest gap I have planned between meetings is having 2 weeks with nothing. Every time I hit one of these and I have to wait 3 weeks between meetings, they feel awfully empty
But we are back for F1 British, granted I planned for Mildenhall, and everything is suddenly great again

Just finished planning my 2025 meetings. I'm looking at doubling my most ever in a year, with 57 planned for this season
Most I'll have ever done and probably most I ever will do, so let's hope I can get to them all :)
Could even do 60 if I can do Blauwhuis and a random meeting

I'm expecting 2025 to absolutely demolish my 28 meeting record this year. A full year with a consistent income and a driving licence. I'm basically unstoppable. I aim for a minimum of 40 meetings but I think 50+ is possible
Stock car racing is magic
Good Friday at Skegness was the first meeting I've been to alone* immediately after getting my driving licence. I brought some friends who were new to the sport and we watched the cars go round in circles together
*meaning without my family, not necessarily actually being alone

I missed the best races of the year on F1 UK speed weekend and shootout round 10 at Bradford, but I've still seen some great racing. But my favourite meeting is one where really nothing special happened on track at all

Yeah not the best meeting of the year but it was something new and I enjoyed it. Was also nice to see 132 get his first final win
I worry for how many drivers turn up but I still plan to be there anyway. Aldershot this year showed that even a track well out the way can get numbers
