Getting the hang of Pokemon Violet.
I’m kinda torn: I’m enjoying the open-world approach, but at the same time I miss the linear design of the early-gen games I grew up playing. It’s fine though, I’m having fun! 👍

I didn’t actually know they did that.

I’ve seen people emulate them on PC but I donno if mouse controls are the best thing for a game built around touchscreen interface.

Who else remembers Infinity Blade? Really impressive for something you could play on an iPhone 4 almost 15 years ago. Real shame it’s long since delisted due to compatibility issues with newer iOS, and of course the whole Apple/Epic Games dispute.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars

It’s a very short game, mind. From what I understand the GameCube version is definitely superior to PS2.

This is what I enjoy about the Classics: all of them have separate PS4 *AND* PS5 versions, so if I enjoyed it once I can go back and do the other version later for another Platinum. 👍

I’ve been known to partake in a star war or two.

I am once again playing Star Wars: The Clone Wars (PS2), this time PS4 version for a nice casual couple-o’-hours Platinum. Just strafe and shoot, not much to it really. 💁‍♂️

I think it’s just real life stressors that ultimately impact our enjoyment of things, which is tragic really because the latter is suppose to alleviate the former.

Free time is so precious when you’re an adult.

I get stressed at games because I have a very small window in the day to efficiently get through whatever I’m playing, time is so valuable as an adult so when I’m having to waste my time replying bits I get frustrated because I want to get through it, using my time as best as possible.

I’ll replay a video game from my childhood and wonder how I ever beat it. Then remember I didn’t have many games back then so had no choice but practice, but more importantly I was far more patient as a kid: tons of free time and no adult commitments/stresses.
