Mainly excited to get back into the sims by bands pack time 💖 whenever that happens.
Been away for personal reasons and experienced too many bugs that meant I’m not coming back before personal things are better, scared to deal with my saves toi honestly.

Back briefly to say that I’m very excited the new pack is based on Aotearoa (New Zealand) and that they feature a native bird too. The Takahē (correct pronunciation here maoridictionary.co.nz/word/7203) ☁️

Miss y’all! I pop in to read posts every now and again but it shall be a while before I’m back properly. Need to be stable again in order to have fun with the sims and not use it as an unhelpful escape. Plus it’s nice to have a bit of a break.

Hello! I’ve been absent due to personal stress and the sims not really being a good outlet. Lost my creativity a bit and needed to focus on real life not hide away. That is to say this will continue a bit longer as my workplace has been bought and then made redundant 🫥 so on the scary job hunt again

I don’t know when I’m playing sims again but probably not for a while! I’ve had a lot going on but I pop back every now and then and most recently when having free game time I played some good old assassins creed.

Which also even in that older back up I still have other rentals I need to delete but I’m hoping they won’t have the weird issue I had the other one that my sims owned for a short period of time. All others are unowned by my sims.

Which is from a while ago so I need to age up all my YA again and go through uni again and I just haven’t been excited to play since these issues 😭 I will eventually I just don’t have the time lately for all that. Sad because rentals are my fave feature!

Yeah it’s related to that. I tried to remove a rental lot and couldn’t. When I could I now have the image of the rental build still tied to the lot on map view in my current save. Which is a sign of save/lot corruption I think? So I need to go back to a backup before that.

is there a fix for that bug when you load up a neighborhood (for me it's almost always Evergreen Harbor) and half the backdrop stuff just doesn't appear?

I love seeing all my sims with my lore interact and also just all the work in the world I couldn’t imagine starting over! I don’t think many people play like I do 😅

If this doesn’t work for the lots then I don’t think I can play. Starting a new save is just not it for me. I love my rotational families. I put so much work in 🥲 it wouldn’t be fun to start from scratch

I don’t know what I’m gonna do about my game issues. At this stage I can’t play. Best option I think k I have is going back to an old save. Check I can remove residential rental lots safely - this is where an issue kinda came from, and if so age up an entire gen and redo uni for them. Speed run lol

And I guess still have the evergreen harbour world issues with the debug world items? When they fixed that previously did those saves you had fix themselves?

Feeling super down because I’ve never had issues before.
Make more frequent backups people. Save As after every game session and back up.

Peeps I don’t think I can play anymore. I’m scared of playing in my save with the issues and going back to an older one I also now have evergreen harbour issues with the world in both saves. Last option I have is removing for rent and dealing with the impacts of that on my sims in rentals? 😖

I’m so conflicted about this new pack when for rent with a similar mechanic is so broken years later and we have r heard anything in progress fixing those issues. That mechanism is my most used also. Think I might now be encountering for rent corruption too.

i’m a transmasc non binary person who was recently forced to move due to my ex stalking me, for march i owe rent at two different apartments and am $140 short even if i max my credit cards. please help if you can or repost at least. i’m really struggling right now

These for rent bugs are so sad. The functionality is one of my fave things and the fact it’s causing so many errors is so sad. Especially because mechanics like these are game changing.

I really wish the sims were working on a sims 5! It’s gonna be years away anyway but I’d like to know we’re getting a new robust system that can better handle things like big saves/many households and are better bases for things like multifunctional lots

So perhaps in trying to remove a residential rental I have got a corrupt lot/rental and if I want to undo this particular lot issue I’m going to need to go back to a backup pre playing the uni household which means redoing all their uni terms 😅 yikes

I need to know this -
It seems they perhaps test on new saves for base game + new pack or new saves with cross pack testing. Is there testing with the saves that are super old and have every pack? To me is seems this is where major issues come from?

Yeah it was my currently playing uni household and they have no properties but I haven’t tried to move someone in and see who their landlord is yet! I’ll try that tonight!
Yeah very weird error 🥲

It was a lot I built a little while ago (and now want to bulldoze) but can’t because it says it’s owned. But by whom? No one. That button on map view that sells the rental says ‘…the household…’ meaning no one as there is no household name. Clicking it to sell it gives me endless spinner.

Does anyone happen to know how I might be able to remove a residential rental lot that through some of my own error (building a rental and removing the sims/selling ownership) has now no property owner and when clicking the sell residential rental button in the map view is endless spinner? 😬😭
