Meet Mohamad Rimawi, our student spotlight from class of 2027 💫 

Mohamad earned his B.A. in Economics from CUNY Hunter College in 2022. At NYU, he aims to investigate the impact of domestic politics and interest groups on American foreign policy in the Middle East.

Arăş is an interdisciplinary scholar with a doctoral degree from the Anthropology and History Program at the University of Michigan, with research interests in Eastern Christianity, sectarianism, and urban studies.

Charisma, our 2025 Falak Sufi Fellow, earned her MPhil in Linguistics and TESOL in Northern Pakistan. At NYU, she plans to investigate the intersection of gender, consumption, and social imaginaries in tourist spaces in South Asia.

On NYU Journalism trip to Argentina our Global Journalism-Near East students, Catherine Cartier & Clare Francis, traveled for 10 days learning how to report from the ground. They reported on Argentina's bid to become a nuclear-powered AI hub and the legacy of Argentina's military dictatorship.
