I was pissed off at charlie during S2 but like, in the context of the character. Like people think if a character does something dumb the writer must have made a mistake...no that's just how a narrative works. I am mad at Charlie, not her writing. Very important difference.

This trend is made worse by the panopticon of sites like twitter. All it takes is one stray quote-tweet to become the drama of the day, and I would imagine that can be extremely stressful and frightening. I don't really blame people for deleting/apologizing but its just so bleak every time.

Like why are you as a twitter digital artist putting out an essay on par with a CDProjekt Red delay announcement? Why do you feel the need to explain yourself when you create something and it gets misinterpreted? It is not your responsibility to handhold your audience through every nuance.

Is your art being misinterpreted or starting discourse? Good! It means you've made something interesting enough to be worth discussing.
