i think only on browser can you actually see around on Threads, from what i think i understand.

yeah that's right, when it was getting stared, on Instagram it would show partial posts and I'd have to go on the app to see the whole thing. Also it might say someone i follow had joined Threads. also i could see some on threads w/o the app via instagram on mobile, but now you need the app.

I've been wondering about that.
I was seeing for a while a bunch of people that had the Meta Ai circle by their name and that they joined or are on there. And it kind of had me wonder what they're doing on there. But that's really deceptive marketing/notification. 👎

This kind of reminds me of the premise for Escape from New York or Escape From LA. I think the USA is in such bad shape that it is sealed off from the rest of the world.

At least I think that's part of the set up. 🤔 I think it has been almost a decade since I've seen both of those movies. 🤔

weird. I don't think mine has been like that. I think mine looks almost like my follow feed with a few things here and there that I don't follow thrown in. I think i mostly stick to Follow and this For You Feed that I think I follow shared on their feed.

The last ones I can recall and vaguely from like 2012 or 2014 was some talk about a Bioshock movie, a Del Toro Mts. of Madness movie and this Morgan Freeman Rendezvous with Rama movie. 🤔

I think I've come across a bunch of that sort of stuff from the 2010s to now on Facebook and YouTube for movie stuff that I got excited and curious for, but ended up not happening or being bogus and I wasn't smart enough to realize it at the time. Or it just development hell treatment.

I think of the new Trek era, Lower Decks was the first show that I tried watching as it was on that I consistently enjoyed.

yeah it sucked that it ended. But I liked it when it was on. I could sort of see them doing a DS9 Star Base 80 show if they wanted. 🤷‍♂️
