How do parties shape which issues are perceived as part of GAL-TAN?

In my paper presented at the ECPR General Conference in Thessaloniki, I delve into this question, focusing on climate change and LGBTQ rights.

Thank you @ecprpovb.bsky.social for a great section!

Disentangling different types of sexist attitudes and vote choice in Germany With a woman as head of German government for 16 years, many hoped (or feared) for significant progress in the areas of gender equality. Rather than progress, however, contributors have noticed a r...

Sexism isn't just driving support for the radical right — it shaped vote choice across the board in #btw21 🗳🇩🇪

Our new research shows how different forms of sexism influenced sympathy for chancellor candidates and party choice.

As in other countries, the far right with strong gains among the young. The idea that far right support is largely driven by authoritarian older voters against the progressive younger ones is being refuted in every election at the moment.

Pretty typical result for elections in the past years. All government parties are predicted to loose, SPD and FDP with massive losses. Merz is going to be the next Chancellor. Big question with what coalition - which is going to be determined by FDP and BSW making it above 5% or not.
