UCP Monthly Report – May Update

🚑Urgent care views continue to rise, reaching over 14,000 in May — the highest since the UCP launched!

On #WorldSickleCellDay we are delighted to announce that almost 80 per cent of people with the condition who receive care in London now have a Universal Care Plan. This is helping to ensure they get the right care wherever they are in the Capital. You can read more here: bit.ly/4jUqYoz

📢 #LearningDisabilityWeek25 runs from 16–22 June, and this year’s theme, “Do you see me?”, focuses on recognising and listening to the voices of people with learning disabilities.

Later this month, we’ll share how the UCP supports this and our work to increase its use.

‘With an aging population, care homes are fast becoming the new hospices for older adults. Normalising conversations about death wishes and documenting them in the UCP makes end-of-life decisions easier and allows for a peaceful, dignified death.’
