Our students, with the help of Associate Professor Scott LaFeber, performed a stripped-down version of CHANTECLER alongside Broadway performers Sam Simahk ‘10, Dru Serkes ‘11, and Lauren Chapman ‘13. Join the WLP Faculty & Alumni Reading featuring Distinguished Professor Jabari Asim, who will be reading from his novel YONDER and Ciera Burch, MFA ’20, who will be reading from her YA novel, SOMETHING KINDRED. The reading will be in the Judee Theater at 6 pm on February 16th.

The Creative Capital Award supports and provides up to $50,000 in unrestricted grants to artists with bold innovative new works in progress. Writer Alex Marzano-Lesnevich, MFA ’10 and multimedia artist Liss LaFleur, MFA ’14 are among the 109 recipients of the award this year. Congratulations!

If that is the case, Healing & Advocacy offers an 8-week series that includes workshops exploring different forms of creative expression. Here, students can meet, chat, listen to music, and simultaneously learn and create something new every week whilst also finding new inspirations and ideas.
We have always been proud to see our students’ creativity in the midst of writing, researching, creating, performing, and editing. But have you ever felt stuck or unmotivated? We all know that creativity is fueled by inspiration and ideas, which can sometimes be hard to find.
The MacArthur Prize is given in memory of Robert MacArthur (Marlboro '51) and Family, founding members of the science program at Marlboro. The contest for the prize is in the form of a question or challenge offered to the student community. The theme for this year’s award is "Transformation.”
Afif’s winning submission is the zine "I Am the Violence I Am Fighting or; the Zine About A Transformation Towards Leading Liberation With Love," Bryant won with a script “Knives,” and Canzoniero won for a photography collection of twelve collages representing the Marlboro campus and city of Boston.
