Back-to-back West Coast #B1G wins for the #Hawkeyes - tightly contested throughout. UW shot well - but UI shot just a bit better. PtsOffTOs were key also as was the bench play/scoring. Hawks improve to 17-5, 7-4. Northwestern is next on Sunday at CHA.

Would Iowa absorb some of Illinois? One legislator hopes so An Iowa bill would allow boundary changes, but it is unlikely to advance this legislative session.

I have a vastly superior idea. Let's draft a bill that will cede Mediapolis and this legislative nut-job to the State of Illinois. He's done enough damage already to the State of Iowa and its entire education system.

Back-to-back West Coast Beatdowns put a dent in the feel-good #Hawkeyes season - not even close to competetive in either contest & now face must-win games at CHA if they want to remain in #B1G contention vs. Minnesota & Washington. Long list of issues vs. UCLA & USC.

Good point. Hannah got her 2nd foul just a few minutes in - sat for most of the 1H (only played 6 minutes) - in and out the 2H too because of the foul trouble. Bench play overall was solid last night though, including Houston. But overall UI was just ugh...

The #Hawkeyes finished better than they played most of the game - and also finished the 1st Half on a 15-4 run. But those were about the only two "bright spots". Things just looked discombobulated for most of the game.

The final score doesn't indicate how badly the #Hawkeyes were trounced tonight - the undefeated in #B1G play is gone. Started badly and stayed that way pretty much the entire game. Plus USC probably played its best game of the season. Gets harder Sunday at UCLA.

The #Hawkeyes led by 17 at the 9:30 mark (see the 3rd screen shot) - then USC fought back, took a 1 pt lead at :08 after hitting 7-8 FGs - Sturtz hit 2 FTs to regain the lead at :04 - and UI hangs on for the win by the skin of their teeth. Take a deep breath!
