Sadly, ICE learned what not to do in Minnesota… they have not left… but are spreading out in disguise tricking and nabbing people before we can respond. We need a new plan….

Medicare for All would save $450B a year.

Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity.

Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.

It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.

Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.

I miss when you could post Brave Norman Rockwell Townsperson and the caption could be, like, “R.E.M was wrong to leave ‘Fretless’ off of Out of Time” instead of “The secret police should stop murdering people.”

Ofelia Torres, teen who fought to have her father released from ICE custody, dies from rare cancer Ofelia Torres, 16, died on Friday from Stage 4 alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer, her father's lawyer confirmed.

A child dying of cancer spent her final days fighting to free her wrongfully detained father from ICE custody.

This comes just weeks after a mother from Maryland was denied the right to be at her son’s side as he died from cancer.

Not one dime for this cruelty.

I just heard someone say on TV that use of the term "concentration camps" to describe ICE facilities was "very strong language."
I think ICE's concentration camps are very strong abuses of human rights.

Obama: "The rogue behavior of agents of the federal government is deeply concerning and dangerous ... the sort of behavior that we've seen in authoritarian countries and we've seen in dictatorships, but we have not seen in America."

In the foreground is Lake Bonhinj, with two spans of the stone bridge crossing the lake. A family of ducks is swimming under the bridge. Large trees line the bridge and pedestrians can be seen walking across it. To the left is a church which was built in the 13th century. The tall baroque bell tower features a double onion shaped roof and two narrow openings on each of the four sides. Behind the church are the forested mountains of the Julian Alps. The sky is quite cloudy with patches of pale blue showing through.

The Church of St. John the Baptist in Bohinj, Slovenia, surrounded by forested mountains.

Opinion | Trump Can’t Cancel Elections. He Could Undermine Them.

From the DOJ's attempts to access sensitive voter info to dismantling CISA and pardoning the people responsible for Jan. 6, the Trump administration's campaign to undermine elections is underway. But we can fight back. — @seanmorales-doyle.bsky.social in @nytopinion.nytimes.com

I’ve been watching a lot of BBC lately to see how they’re covering the Epstein Files and former Prince Andrew, and it’s stunning the number of historians they have on these news shows, I really think US media could take a few notes.

Trump wants to deport hundreds of thousands of Haitian refugees. But many are caregivers keeping elderly and disabled Americans safe and cared for. New research suggests losing them could cost thousands of lives each year.

The Hill: Gallup will no longer measure presidential approval after 88 years
by Dominick Mastrangelo - 02/11/26 10:38 AM ET Politico: Gallup retreats from political polling , again under new leadership

Gallup will announce friday that it plans to measure President Donald Trump's job approval rating only on a monthly basis.

12/21/2018

If you saw today's headline that Gallup will stop measuring presidential approval, they did the same thing in 2018. They do it whenever Trump is president.

Gallup will no longer track presidential approval ratings after nearly 90 years Gallup, the analytics firm that has tracked presidential approval for nearly 90 years, will stop measuring job performance ratings starting in 2026.

Somebody who knows more about this: talk to me about Gallup's decision to stop reporting on presidential approval ratings. Do you think they felt pressured by you know who's administration? The timing seems incredibly suspicious. www.usatoday.com/story/news/p...

BONDI: He does work for us, yes. I believe he was pardoned

NEGUSE: And you expect hard-working police officers to believe you take law enforcement seriously?
