This is great news, and it makes it even more damning that Minnesota House Republicans unanimously opposed a bill to do the same thing earlier this week.
If the U.S. Senate can agree on this, along with a majority of Americans, why is the MN GOP still siding with corporations?
Today, MN legislators unanimously voted to rename our state's solar program in honor of Melissa Hortman.
Melissa was the author of the bill to create the program back in 2013; she often said it was her proudest accomplishment.

House DFL Leader Zack Stephenson blasts GOP leadership for suggesting people 'chose to stay home’ while ICE was terrorizing Minnesota:

The courts are confirming what we’ve long seen with our own eyes: ICE agents are engaging in racist and reckless conduct, frequently arresting citizens and legal residents on no basis other than the color of their skin.
It’s not radical to think that if you work hard, you should be able to rent, buy, and stay in your home.
But the GOP just voted against bills to 1) deliver rental assistance, 2) ban private equity from buying single-family homes, and 3) crack down on greedy landlords of manufactured housing lots.
We're taking action to support Minnesotans facing evictions through no fault of their own.
