The man behind the pen of many legendary stories!
London people!
I'll be back in London for LCC Spring this month.
I'm considering other things to do around that weekend, Feb 27th - March 2nd. Any & all suggestions welcome, from shows, locations, attractions etc
Don't we know it!!
08.02.2026 10:07 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Feel insanely lucky to have witnessed Jodie Comer herself performing 'Prima Facie' last night.
This production, it's story, has captivated me for years. Watched the cinema screening multiple times, stream version & the book but seeing it with my own eyes? INSANE!
For those who enjoy The Ninth Doctor 'Cloud Eight' released today, there is so so SO MUCH More to explore in these 4 really impressive TORCHWOOD stories.
'Grey Mare' is one of the best hours of @bigfinish.bsky.social - recommend all of these.
NINTH DOCTOR DAY! π§
I pre-ordered this one ages in advance as there's no way I'm missing out on a story by these writers and one of my favourite doctors, we are in for a treat!
Life may be chaos & unpredictable but nothing beats a bit of childhood tradition.
New Doctor Who dollies to open on a Saturday! π«
Really looking forward to hearing how this series continues!
Watch my discussion of volume 1 here: youtu.be/eGiA1vxJZ-I?...
Including a particularly impressive, traumatic character piece from Lauren Mooney & Stewart Pringle. A really bold piece of drama
It's TORCHWOOD Day! π§
Been really really looking forward to hearing this one, great way to cheer up a rainy Tuesday.
Tegan!
A visibly different destroyed dalek, new accessories and an episode-specific background for the box. This is the type of set I'm easily happy to spend Β£44.99 on with that balance between collectors level niche but a sprinkle of play value too? Very FP exclusive in spirit.
Doctor Who Charity Shop find:
Two 1995 'Missing Adventures books! I don't actually think I've ever seen a book from this line in the flesh outside maybe conventions? So a nice unexpected find.
Definitely recommend checking out 'Red Eye' on ITV, notably produced between Sony Pictures & Bad Wolf.
A great example of a multi-part drama. Perhaps the way forward for Doctor Who? (Also bring Lesley Sharp back to DW) Oh AND... Ian Arber's music is very notable π
A rather grey, windy Tuesday has just been brightened by... A Lesson in Dying! πͺ ( πΆ Yaayy murder πΆ)
Always very glad to find an @anncleeves.bsky.social title I don't have in the charity shop.
Happy 92nd Birthday Tom Baker MBE! π
20.01.2026 12:19 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I know Dr Who fans often love everything in lines, consistent and identical (we bully @bigfinish.bsky.social spines for it constantly π π) ...BUT TARGET NOVELS?!
Come on now, they are an inconsistent mess, always have been and we adore it for that! π It's woven into it's very essence.
I have not listened to this one yet but judging by the trailer it looks really promising!
Perhaps a more character driven piece for Yaz?
Tom Baker has a new fan π
Vera has been listening attentively, just so happens to be one of the best cliff hangers too!
According to YouGov, 40% of Britons have not read or listened to a book in the past year. Of the remainder, 22% read 1-5 books per year and 4% (me) read more than 50 books.
If that's you, please stop doomscrolling and open a book. Let's each recommend a title.

The festive season can be quite overwhelming so i wanted to revisit something cosy & familiar, my reading has improved a lot since publication so I found even more appreciation for this story. Fittingly 'The Darkest Evening' also concludes on my birthday - meant to be!

Sometimes waiting a bit pays off! Got 'The War Games - in Colour' steelbook for Β£14

Out with the new⦠in with the old.
Iβm really excited to officially launch what has become the biggest video project I will likely ever embark upon. Itβs time to turn the clock back to childhood.
TheHostProductions 2026.
More details soon!
Varada Sethu has just shared this little post on her Instagram story and I thought it was worth sharing beyond for those who don't use the app.
31.12.2025 12:27 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The Observers review of "Dr Who & The Zarbi" (1965) novel reads:
"...the kids should eat it."
I've personally heard of devouring books as a form of compliment, but this is a bit TOO literal isn't it? π
No wonder it's bloody collectable. 60's kids have eaten all the copies.
One of the episodes is:
"1968: An Incident in Death Valley by Lauren Mooney & Stewart Pringle"
Need I say anymore? Given this writing duos contribution to the last series I'm really hopeful for what they do this time.
Looking forward to seeing where this series goes next.
BBC iPlayer having THE AUDACITY to recommend the 'Mandy' 2021 Christmas special to me having made the decision to withdraw the 2025 one last minute....

Public Service Announcement:
If you have Amazon Prime, you still have time to order Chimes of Midnight in the next 3 hours AND have it in time to read Christmas day or even gift it to someone!
You can watch my review of it here: youtu.be/TcRo2fJxxrI?si⦠#DoctorWho @bigfinish.bsky.social
What @bigfinish.bsky.social releases aren't directly Christmas / festive linked but you often find yourself returning to them during the festive season?
I think (not just because of Chimes) that Mcgann is a very fitting doctor for winter, the plot arcs make for a reassuring thread.
