Finally it is March! have waited this sooo long!! Winter was really stressful and mentally horrible for me this year, huge middle finger to winter time!
Seeing snow melting and sun being warmer makes me ASAP more happy and ready for blackbirds!! Lets see who I record this year!

I had no idea about the lying thing honestly. I mainly just use Insta to post stuff and follow specific people

This all began with a concerned mutual reaching out to me, stating that they saw a notification that pointed at me using the Meta AI app and asking if my stance on generative AI had changed. That’s when I learnt that Meta has been quietly using random people’s accounts to promote their app. The catch is… these people never actually downloaded the app. Including myself. I just wanted to make this post to warn people. If you see a notification like that - know that it’s a lie, I never downloaded any AI app and never will. I’m an artist who values hard work and human effort, and generative AI repulses me to an unimaginable degree.

If you follow me on Instagram and you receive a notification about me joining or downloading Meta AI well, IT'S A FUCKING LIE. Meta is blatantly lying to us in order to make us download that fucking sludge-generator. I would never touch GenAI with a 10 foot pole.

I share it here too as I saw it happen to me too (I got notification) and then I saw this post! I HATE AI AND WANT IT DIE. I would never join such shitty place, if the app tells I did, it was without my consent!! I am against GenAI 100%. I prefer using my brain and hands! HUMAN ART FTW!

Fuck this video messing up thing without my consent. Why is it always Insta, FB and this place what seem to make the video 50% louder and then make it like have the automatic gain control? Like the BG sound fluctuates quiet and loud :C.

Another glitch tit! I call it this way because to me it sounds like broken MP3 file a bit with these artifacts. I seem to hear this sound on great tits. If you know what you hear, the aesthetic is very unique so you can spot this sound out asap when it happens outside, even if its 40% quieter #birds

Me surrounded by my favourite singing birds - Blyth's reed warblers and Thrush nightingales, who I passionately record to be amazed at their talents. I also do science, trying to figure out how many mimicries BRWs do!

tiny FOMO feels, as i heard a rare great tit version "stjubi stjubi stjubi" and I could not record it today as I did not hear it :C. I NEED THIS VARIANT! The more i walked the more addicting it became, all the calls, alarm calls and so on, dopamine <3 #birds #FlackoWeasel

Aaah it feels so good recording birds again. Weather is much warmer now (-1c) and I walked total like almost 3h to capture different blue tit and great tit sounds. I usually had a long recording without pauses, so I can later pick out the best parts between walkings and loud parts. #birds

More and more birds are singing (mainly great tits, blue tits, greenfinches and european nuthatches) I feel I get more and more active and dopamine slowly rises. Weather seems more softer too. I can test my Tascam tomorrow again. I need some unique gtit variants!! #birds #flackoweasel

They vigorously peck out the seeds and eat them, or hide them somewhere for the winter when food becomes scarce.

marsh tit " ti ti tiup" I have not heard this sound before (maybe it is a part of a song) but I instantly recall BRW doing a rhythm "Tiup tiup vüiiss tiup tiup" ASAP. It has the similar sharp ending so this is a new mimicry findout for me! I see that song like a sharp arrow shaped word #birds

Another great tit call variant "piss tli tli" 2nd part sounding like an empty glass! So so waiting warmer weather so I can collect different gtit and btit sounds aswell! #birds

So when i hear a real bird do "add sound here", I instantly recall a BRW using that sound as a sample making a rhythm. That helps me to pinpoint all the real birds so well because the mimicked sound in rhythm is remembered where it was used and I remember the original birds so much better #birds

Scorch! He had an amazing catchy rhythm, using blackbird "duk", great tit "tsii püüi" and other mimicries to make this part. (I wrote it as üüit back then). I remember rhythms so well as I listen them a lot and I can recall most parts as soon as I hear the real sample. #birds

Here is the same moment. I hear this "Tsii püüüi" by great tits a lot! as a huge BRW nerd, I INSTANTLY remember a rhythm in my head with this specific sample used (next post) #birds

Oobeli in 2023. This is the same sample used here "Piistju vee" from different bird, but the master sample is still same. Hearing the original sound and later mimicry makes you able to spot the familiar sounds. I have had vice versa where I hear BRW mim first and later original bird #birds

Amazing rhythm "Tju veee piis-tju" great tit using marsh tit mimicry to make this part! Great tits have a lot of different vocalisation combos and it is so cool to hear these versions. Still too cold to go out with Tascam. 2nd post has a BRW mimicry with the same sample. #birds
