Meanwhile, I'm happy to join the City of Montreal UX team and dive right in to token work to help them scale Hochelaga, their design systems 🤩
That first week back to work from maternity leave is HARD 😮💨
Taking a bit of air from mom life by going to a work event for the first time since January 🫣
It somehow feels like a step back to cancel my only class that I was taking this winter and my talk proposal being rejected last week 😶 but my baby is 7 weeks old today and I had a great day after a growth spur last week 🫠
Now down in a rabbit hole of binging wardrobe digitalizing and declutering videos and I’m ok with that.
« I’ll do this during my maternity leave, I’ll have plenty of time » was a very good lie I told myself 🫠
This conference talk proposal won’t write itself I guess 🫠
Might be the hormones but I have a hard time dealing with the end of this contract 🥲
I hyper-focussed this morning and wrote almost 2 complete DS case study 😮💨
Post you from a different era of your life 👟
The continent architecture is where, in my previous experiences, it becomes really hard for non superusers (like UX designer searching specific patterns) gets really overwhelmed. It’s the « Little thing » that really help the DS usage.
Building portfolio pieces for design system projects I no longer have artefacts of will be a bit of a challenge 🫠
When your PM is the website past UX designer, you REALLY need good arguments and data to prove your points 🫠
Lastly, I’m volunteering for Apero UX (apero-ux.com), a Montreal-based UX event series. I’ve hosted one last April and participated in two Figma related podcasts. I’m targeting doing talks and speaking as a 2024-2025 goals 😎

I've worked in the last few years specializing in design systems, crafting them to be a bit more usable to teams that work with them. I’m currently building one for a Quebec-based insurance company, but it’s getting political. From apps to websites, my projects are really wide spread.

To all the new people here, here is a proper introduction! 👋 I’m a freelance UX/UI designer based in Montreal. French is my main language, so sorry in advance for all the typos 🫣 Future mom in 2025 and current dog-mom.

Me and Miko says hi 👋 is that how it works?
Thanks! We are at the first political hurdles of our process, wish us luck 😅 if not, I’ve also worked on improving usability and adhesion of a gov based finance org in Quebec.
