I've read enough of Reddit's r/Scams sub to realize that any time someone on social media asks for you to "vote" for them (for some contest, or whatever) it's rooted in some kind of scheme to steal your account.

We should start a movement where we collect them and then melt them down.

I think the best takeaway from this is that Kimmel experienced the highest TV ratings in his show's history, and by not airing his episodes Sinclair Broadcast Group, and Nexstar missed out on leveraging those ratings into earnings.
