So far:
- I created the checklist
- I got a list of volunteers and remind them every month or so to do this
- I answer any questions about the process
- I created an alternate stylesheet that's visually simpler
- I created "first steps" checklist that's logistically simpler

I'm trying so friggin hard to get people to do this -- if you have any suggestions on how to make the process easier, more accessible, etc, please let me know!

I know our current “morality police” crisis definitely isn’t the first, but it does feel like the first untethered from religion. It’s like a satanic panic but instead of fearing satanic they fear someone somewhere thinking they are not the least problematic boy in righteous town

This book is very overtly addressing how ppl treat missing Black kids differently than missing white kids, and said so explicitly multiple times. it’s not some bs fantasy racism. It’s talking a real issues.

Reading reviews of The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires and so many of them say “this book has racism and racism is bad! how come main character is good but does racism (which is bad)!??” And I just want to scream THATS THE POINT THATS THE POINT over and over forever

Reading horror book reviews is so surreal bc a third are “depraved: love it 10/10”, a third are “a fun romp! 5/10”, and the last third are “omg there is horror in this horror novel?!? thats so messed up 0/10”
