I think this is a thing people don't understand about chronic illness... they'll either say "well if it hurts just don't do it" or "just tough it out" but either way they don't realize that we have to weigh not only the short term but long term implications....

Just finished a scarf for my sister in law! Used Lion Brand Hometown Key Largo Tweed, 8.0 mm hook, just a very basic chain 16, then hdc 14 across, ch2, turn, hdc blo 14 across over and over to desired length.

Pretty happy with how it turned out, it's taller than I am!

Yeah there's definitely something with this specific project that I'm doing differently than others that's doing it. For now I'm taking a break from it after some rest to work on other things. Monday will be no crochet day for a while. Hoping after a bit I can try it again and do better 🤞🙏

Hopefully I'll figure out what I'm doing that's hurting so much and find more sustainable practices. I am instituting a Monday No Crochet day to give my wrist a rest, hoping that will help going forward 🙏 🤞

I have not yet tried knitting... though it's on my list. Usually if I keep a support glove on it's not too bad, I think in doing something weird with the DCs on this raccoon scarf I'm working on... took a day off and braced it, then worked on a different project today and was fine... 🤷‍♂️
