Bending over backwards for the right isn’t saving the BBC. It won’t save the ABC either
The Tory media establishment has gone nuclear on the BBC for daring to upset the right on its favourite issues: Trump, Gaza and trans people.
The Tolerant vs the Intolerants. The latter's need to eradicate difference continues to stun, corrupt and cobble the former.
Hoists and petards.

A part of my soul shatters to think that a small group can be so inconceivably callous, vile and morally corrupt. The destruction was a monumentally arrogant crime that said 'FU - because we can & did get off Scott free.' Shameful

The return of Israeli hostages was clearly and understandably deeply moving for Israeli families. Given the extremes of circumstances between 'coming home' for Israelis and Gazans, the 'celebrations' per media, upped by the US President's repugnant grandstanding, were unwatchable.

Missing teen with autism transferred to refugee facility by HPD
He is currently being held at an Office for Refugee Resettlement facility.
A mom in Houston reported her 15-year-old son with autism missing. She spent 6 days terrified, searching for him. The whole time, Houston police knew exactly where he was since they helped ICE place him in a refugee facility.
This is beyond cruel.

In short
Protests broke out last week in Timor-Leste, with thousands of demonstrators demanding parliament cancel a $4.2 million plan to purchase SUVs for lawmakers and lifetime pension for MPs and public officials.
Sixty-two members of parliament voted unanimously on Friday to pass a new law that scrapped the pensions for MPs, former presidents, prime ministers and cabinet ministers.
Timor-Leste just scrapped lifetime pensions for former parliamentarians after student-led protests.
But sure — protest doesn’t work.

Corruption watchdog head 'consulted' for ADF inspector general 11 times
Paul Brereton and Labor politicians had previously stated he had stepped away from the body and resigned as assistant inspector-general of the ADF prior to taking on the top integrity job.
Ludicrous. The NACC is supposed to be independent but Brereton keeps working for the ADF while overseeing potential corruption investigations about it?
The Kathryn Campbell conflict wasn't enough to demonstrate how costly and damaging this is? That mistake already cost the NACC $1.2m to rectify.

Billionaire Hands off Public Policy!
Tesla's chair is in charge of our tech future - but it should be us shaping policy
A Tesla executive is leading Australia’s R&D review. That’s not OK. Public roles should serve the people – not billionaires. Add your name to demand Denholm’s resignation and new integrity laws: getup.to/a8WdJvUOOVFz...

Does Australia supply weapons to Israel? The government has consistently denied the claim and criticised “misinformation” surrounding exports, arguing it has “raised tensions in this country”.
So what do we know about Australia’s role in the F-35 jet's supply chain, and what constitutes a weapon?

Why are we, the people, not enraged by this appalling and corrupt abuse of power by the 'majors'? How easily we ignore or at best forget the Federals outrageous collaborative 1st and last tactics in last term. Now SA! These are abominably corrupt acts of democratic bastardry.

We can restrict gas exports and save the Tomago smelter
It is Australian gas exports that are causing the high energy prices that threaten the Tomago aluminium smelter.
As billions in public money is used to prop up up the Tomago aluminium smelter, it’s important to know the source of its strife: gas exports pushing Australia's energy prices through the roof.
