Colombia President Gustavo Petro says he will impose a reciprocal 50% tariffs on US goods: “I resisted torture, and I resist you”

So people know, Colombia didn't block deportations. The refused the abusive military flights that had their countrymen shackled in handcuffs. They demanded they be flown in under the usual deportation method and be shown respect.

Colombia has just applied retaliatory tariffs.

Despite what right wing media is claiming, no, Colombia didn't back off their position in the slightest. They are sending their own aircraft to pick up their citizens with dignity.

Insanity: The deportation flights Trump used military jets for—that Mexico refused to accept—cost the U.S. up to $852,000 per flight to attempt to deport just 80 migrants at a time.

To compare, flights directly chartered by Immigration and Customs Enforcement cost just $8,577.
