Russia attacks Kharkiv β€” right now.
17 strikes. 12 injured. Entire neighborhoods on fire.

Russian Shahed drones hit multiple targets across the city overnight. One was caught on video slamming directly into a residential building in Saltivskyi β€” the district closest to the Russian border.

Couches Tard already has enough of a monopoly, IMO.

I'm at a Canadian airport right now, going to Mexico, and last month I changed my flights to fly direct, it was a little more, but I'm not setting foot in the US for a while, no thanks.

I agree with training Canadians, and training takes time, but we currently have such a shortage that for now, we need all the help we can get. It doesn't mean I'm unpatriotic.

Yes, it's for all trades. Do they get paid to go to these? Mostly. One day trainings, no. Long, yes.

I'm now making good money, but when I worked the hardest, got cuts, sweat all day, and broke my back is when I made the least. From what I understand, most careers are like this.

There are apprenticeship programs in place, with free safety training. There are also incentives for companies to hire appreciateces. Plus, in my region, there are commercials on TV to attract new workers.

I'm gonna be honest here, newer generations are lazy. They aren't all willing to work hard.

He fully stared it's for the middle-class.

31.03.2025 14:26 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

It's gotten so bad that some trades or no longer starting a pension for first year apprentices, they simply add that money to their paychecks, but they will start their medical plan. So many don't even last a year.

From my experience, it's better to start an apprentice mixed with other workers.

31.03.2025 14:25 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

No, this is about middle-class housing.

31.03.2025 13:46 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

Funny you say that, but then you ask how this will solve our shelters issue. This isn't about shelter issues either.

31.03.2025 13:44 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

The reason is we don't have enough skilled trades workers in Canada. Many young people don't want to work in construction. We need to fill the void, or prices would raise even more.
And temporary foreign workers isn't a huge issue in construction.
