This Canada Goose was painted in 2022 but got a little bit of a makeover recently. It will be coming with me to the Edmonton Valley Zoo on October 11 for the Migratory Bird Day art market. I would love for this honker to find a new home.
What We Carry: this series of 11 portraits was painted on transparent yupo and placed on top of stories made of words that I cut out of a book. The idea is that no matter how we look on the outside, every person carries memories and life experiences with them. Full stories posted on my IG.
Another Growth Godess that will be coming with me to the Whyte Ave artwalk in a couple weeks! πΈ Each painting in this series of 4 was created with watercolor, acrylic paint, pigment, gold leaf, and a vintage floral cutout.
Don't miss them and so much more art on Whyte Ave July 11-13.
GROWTH GODESSES: a series of nudes with abstract touches and gold leaf halos. Each Growth Godess also has a flower cut from a vintage book.Β These were inspired by seeing women around me continually growing into more amazing versions of themselves, and the peace and power that comes with that growth
I have framed a bunch of the new batch of Golden Years 2.0 in preparation for the Whyte Ave artwalk July 11-13!
My second multimedia painting inspired by the Walt Whitman quote "I am large, I contain multitudes".
Watercolor on cotton paper and yupo paper, acrylic paint on a paper bag, white pencil crayon, black and white charcoal, and gold thread.
11x14"
This piece was inspired by a Walt Whitman quote: "I am large, I contain multitudes". It made me reflect on how every person in our life sees a different version of us. Some of them even contradictory.
11x14: watercolor on cotton paper +yupo, acrylic paint, charcoal, white pencil crayon, thread.
The last of my mini series of "Connection", these figures are seeking connection to eachother. Their thread 'neurons' are reaching out towards eachother. A nice reminder to nurture connections with people in your life, because I think that's what life is really about. π©·
8x10" watercolor and thread
Continuing the theme of connection, this figure is connecting to itself. One of the little thread neurons is still reaching outwards, but the others are wrapped around and connected to the body. A reminder to take time to turn inward and check in with yourself.
5x7" watercolor and thread
This figure is bound by grief or sadness, seeking connection to feel heard and understood. It's little thread neurons are downcast, but still reaching out. The 2 little blooms on the body ended up looking like tearstains, which seemed fitting.
Shout out to anyone going through tough times π
(5x7")
I was recently thinking of how we are all just searching for connection. So I painted this figure (and a few others) and added thread 'neurons' reaching out from their heart to connect. This one is seeking connection in their joy. π

Hi there art lovers! I am still relatively new here so I wanted to introduce myself. I'm a watercolor artist based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Most of my work so far has involved flora and fauna. But my newest work is exploring human figures and textural elements. Stay tuned for more art!
It was fun to paint with bright and bold colors that I don't usually use in my artwork for this little Mandarinfish. (5x7")
Beautiful!
One of my colorful animals from my most recent series!
Chameleon (8x10")
I think these moody blues are beautiful. They look almost moonlit.
1000% agree. We make art and hope that someone connects with it.
Does anyone else want Fruit Loops now?
