At 89 years of age Margaretta ran for the Local Elections in 2024 in Galway, with “mad, bad and dangerous” being one of her campaign slogans. She was a great friend of the Women's Collective Limerick and Clare Projects and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 💜

Last month, we received news of the sad loss of Margaretta D'Arcy. Margaretta was a feminist, artist, writer and lifelong activist & advocate for Peace and Justice. Best known for her opposition to the militarization of Shannon Airport and her participation in protests supporting Palestinian rights.

On Sept 30th we started our course Making Your Mark with the most wonderful group of women. Over the last few weeks we have had the privilege of getting to know each of them & growing & learning with them. We enjoyed every minute of it!
