I'd look to post a chapter of the first draft every couple of months for people to read serially.

It'll all be queer romance with a dash of magic and the supernatural. Right now my concept is boy meets boy (except one of them is a ghost who can't remember how he died)

This is a very early stage idea... But I'm thinking of setting up a Discord server for anyone who wants to follow my attempts to write an original novel.

I'm so externally motivated, I know if I had people waiting on the next chapter of a book I'd actually Get Shit Done.

i think netflix has poisoned how we think about "success." if people haven't read a fic within hours of it being posted, that doesn't mean the fic has failed. people are busy. maybe they're saving it for bedtime or a weekend or a better day!
