Highly symbolic on 🇱🇹#Lithuania’s Independence Restoration Day to meet in Paris 🇲🇩#Moldova’s outstanding President Maia Sandu. Lithuania is and will be at the side of Moldova in defending its security, democracy and European choice. And together we stand with 🇺🇦#Ukraine till victory.

With 🇪🇺EU27 Ambassadors in France standing together with 🇺🇦Ukraine and our dear colleague Vadym Omelchenko. Three years on, we are together. On the side of truth, on the side of justice, on the side of humanity. On the side of victory against aggression, barbarism and cynicism. #DefendUkraine

With French Defence Minister Sébastien Lecornu 🇫🇷 we discussed the forthcoming White Paper aimed at increasing EU defence industry output and helping EU Member States fill defence capability gaps, as well as 🇪🇺 space initiatives, and the importance of supporting Ukraine.

At the meeting with Jean-Noël Barrot, the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs 🇫🇷, we talked about the Big Bang in European defence and the EU 🇪🇺 added value for defence, strengthened military support for Ukraine 🇺🇦 and the peace through strength principle, as well as the upcoming White Paper.

Great pleasure to see 🇪🇺 Defence and Space Commissioner @andriuskubilius.ec.europa.eu in Paris, where he today met with French Foreign Minister @jnbarrot.bsky.social, Defence Minister Lecornu and 🇫🇷 defence & space industry. A time of definition for Europe’s future and its ability to step up its game.

A good debate last night with the European Affairs Committee of the 🇫🇷French Senate on the consequences for the 🇪🇺EU of the 2nd Trump presidency. I argued that we should turn our vulnerabilities in terms of defence, energy and digital/AI into strengths and areas of stronger cooperation with the 🇺🇸US.
