Damn. I wonder if he has some kind of mid-life/existential crisis, not that it would make a musician resort to something like this. Probably wanted to make quick buck without putting effort into it. Never listened to his music before because I'm not familiar with LSDJ scene, but this is just weird.

An alternative to raising the noise channel volume before doing export is either to raise APU 2 volume level in nsfplay device mixer, as it's not just noise that sounds more quiet in nsfplay, but also triangle and dpcm, or make every other channel more quiet in Famitracker which is more hassle.
You can achieve all that by using a find and replace function in Dn Famitracker before doing nsf export, no need to adjust your entire song beforehand
Little guide on how to make the exported nsf from Famitracker not sound like ass in nsfplay. It depends on how many chips you're using, but if you're using vrc6 your noise channel volume shouldn't be higher than D, which you will raise to F before export, note release "=" should be replaced with L00
