A red-breasted nuthatch strikes its signature upside down pose on the side of a spruce tree trunk. The background is a bunch of golden spheres from the evening light catching the out of focus needles.

I generally really dislike pictures of myself, and this one isn't really 'me', but it was fun anyway. The #52frames prompt was "Black & White". It's hard to divide your face evenly in half when you've broken your nose 3x 😆 📷

FWIW that's Downspout, it's a blue, and can be pretty unpleasant when it gets icy because it's steeper than it looks and the soft snow gets skied off quickly. It's one of the busiest spots on the mountain, so not a great place for just drifting sideways like that.
