Been surrounded by so much beauty these last few days, my photos don’t do it justice. Everywhere I’ve gone, the vast, open landscapes are framed by these gorgeous snow-capped bens. Feeling so grateful. Wish I could share the actual view with you all… my rubbish little phone photos will have to do

Robin had the best view in the garden, and with that came a certain responsibility. A place to watch over the souls below, especially in the winter, when the world hushed a little, and someone might be wishing to feel less alone. Robin liked to remind them that someone was near.

I wouldn’t say I’m super messy when I paint. Organised chaos would probably describe it best. My deep dark secret though…. I don’t squeeze the oil paints from the ends, I don’t roll them up neatly savouring each drop. I squish them in the middle and then deal with it/regret my life choices when the paint stars running out. Like a sad and confused toothpaste tube, my oils get squeezed randomly and without thought. Just wanted to get that off my chest. Also, don’t ask me about the state of my palette and colour mixing methods. Best not to think about it.

There's nothing better than a blank slate. To Hare, that blank slate was a field of freshly settled snow. Pure bliss. It represented new beginnings, new dreams, and had all the potential of a blank canvas. So inviting. She also just really enjoyed making the first paw prints.
