3D TVs never had the mass adoption that AI has had. ChatGPT - for all that OpenAI sucks - is the fifth-most visited website in the world.
I’m actually not paid to try to convince people of that. I’m not an evangelist and I’m not working on a frontier model.
There is very clearly a bubble, but there was one around the internet as well, and it’s still been transformative.
God, to think I used to be really excited about her as a politician
bias in the sense I have lived experience to know it's useful, I guess
"AI" is many things. There's a lot of bad AI-slop stuff out there, but that's not the entirety of the AI landscape, either.
I work in this space - I know the tools can be useful when implemented correctly, and I know they can be incredibly terrible when used poorly (or trying to replace artists).
charging up my VS SEEKER as we speak
Unreal Engine also has AI powering it. There are machine learning agents, procedural and generative systems to help build game worlds, and smart animation systems.
But they also used AI tools, which is why the Indie Game Awards rescinded their nomination (a stupid decision, imo) mashable.com/article/clai...
We should be excited about tools that can help a team of 30 people punch way above their weight when it comes to game development.
I would also love to see tools that could shorten dev cycles, too.
Clair Obscur is one of the best games of this generation and used AI to keep production costs low - somehow, under $10 million.
There’s certainly a path to meeting those expectations and keeping price points low, it just will require being open to tools that will allow small teams to make AAA games
The Strait of Hormuz is open for transit
Even Spider-Man 2 has a ton of detractors online because there isn’t enough content in it.
GTA 6 is about to be the biggest entertainment product ever released.
Gamers have consistently thrown fits that the hardware they’re buying is not being used to its full capacity by games they buy.
I don’t think people want “no more AAA games”.
If we want AAA-level game experiences, we’re going to have to figure out some way to keep these costs down.
Spider-Man 2 cost >$300 million to produce!
Highguard was over $200 million and is shutting down shortly after launch. That’s not sustainable.
He probably thought Joker would be his big break and Heated Rivalry would just be some gig tbh
When I want to breed baby Tyrogue to get a Hitmonchan in LeafGreen but all I have is a male Hitmonlee
Wait… Connor Storrie was in Joker 2???
Got such suspicious vibes from this woman but I guess she’s just a good Starfleet doctor
I will say I’m watching the episodes of DS9 where Kira is carrying Miles and Keiko’s baby and… woke is not what I’d call a lot of what is said in this episode lmfao
Dr. Bashir is even joking about Miles taking a peek at naked Kira when she’s in the bath! The 90s were wild
They want to know neither?
Gotta say I don’t understand the “close friends consent check” thing at all
You can always just mute or Unfollow someone
And personally, I find unfunny memes to be far more offensive
Narratively having Ever Given getting stuck in 2021 to set up Hormuz in 2026 is great foreshadowing. You want your audience to understand the basics of international shipping in a lower stakes context so you drop the real plot without a lot of saggy exposition about the minutiae of cargo logistics.
Because it’s all ego to these people
Was feeling down this morning until I decided to dance the CHANSEY Dance!
The only way we win is if we grit our teeth and say welcome to the resistance
I'm disappointed Grogu doesn't have a tiny version of the chair
I would love to tell it something like "I need to drive from Indianapolis to Chicago and want to stop at a Panera Bread just outside of Indianapolis"
living by the water is so nice except for when it's windy af
