one of my pet peeves in games is narrative urgency that's undermined by incentivized collection gameplay. When the story is telling the player 'You urgently need to save someone/something!', collect-a-thon map icons are just going to pull you out of acting your part authentically

Why bother learning big words when you can fabricaciously prestidigitize them?

I get people voting on principle. I don’t get people refusing to accept the consequences of that decision. Own it. You made the call, so own it. Don’t try to pretend it doesn’t have the consequences it clearly has. Accept your small part in the outcome. You earned it.
