Dylan watched as the hanger deck crew eased Magpie back into her bay, ensuring they treated her right and proper. Boy! She was a #bonny bird. He loved that ship. Loved it more than any person he’d ever known.

Just a ship? No such thing. Magpie was a companion closer to him than skin.

Enchanted by the magic in your eyes

Dylan tried to be #magnanimous about the citation for gallantry in the face of The Enemy, but he wasn’t the only one to have fought in that battle. Most of his crew had suffered, but only a few got the recognition they deserved.
