I've just realised I've not shared this over here! A couple of weeks ago I decided to put together some of my thoughts about what we mean by "good" telemetry, how it necessitates #OpenTelemetry and by extension semconv/Weaver, and how it relates to #InstrumentationScore and maturity models.

Honestly, painless, and about 10 minutes. When you onboard, Tidal tells you about this 3rd-party service called Tune My Music that lets you sync between providers. From my +1500 liked songs and albums, and dozens of playlists, I think I'm missing about 30 songs. You can see those during migration.

Still seeing a lot of definitions of observability that go "it's the action of..." or "it's the ability to collect data from...". IMO those miss the point that o11y is a quality of a complete system, or parts of it. Let's focus on improving it with actions to generate, collect and use quality data.

Audio Technica ATH-E70 IEMs + FiiO UTWS5 Bluetooth adapters are quite likely the best wireless setup I've ever had. And so handy to unplug the adapters and go back to cable for true lossless audio!

Me holding a Peak Design camera clip with Pro Pad

I've recommended the Peak Design camera clip before for those that like outdoor photography, to put on your rucksack strap. I just got the Pro Pad and this is a game changer to clip it to a belt for street photography. So much more comfortable, and it feels way more secure too!

Then these folks have the gall to say that they're anti-establishment! A worker voting this specimen after seeing this photo is like a tree voting for the axe because its body is made of wood.
