The outage today did leave me with one question. How does Bluesky like, pay for itself? If there's no ads how do they maintain the servers and the employee cost? Is there something obvious I'm missing? Is it selling data? Is it biding it's time to do ads? Just curious is all. Too good to be true rn

I have only ever accidentally seen them ask for money. And that was only because I saw a clip of someone opening 10 packs at once and got curious. Though after about 2 weeks I'm getting a lot of packs with no new cards.
