“All it took was fried food, huh?” Sethos chuckled.

Heizou laughed. “I can’t be mad when you touched green vegetables just for me.”

Sethos smiled. He leaned against Heizou as the oil simmered in front of them.

“You know I’d do anything for you,” Sethos said. “Always.”

Sethos smiled. Gradually, the weight on his shoulder grew lighter as Heizou returned to his human form.

“Are you feeling better now?” Sethos asked.

Heizou nodded. He wrapped his arms around Sethos’ waist.

“A little bit,” he said.

The moment he began frying, footsteps tapped rapidly against the floor. Sethos chuckled. He looked at the deer right next to him.

“I’m guessing you haven’t eaten dinner?”

The deer made a sound. He stepped up to Sethos and rested his head on his shoulder.

Then, an idea popped up. Maybe Heizou will come back if he cooks something for him. He gathered his ingredients, grimacing as he picked up some green vegetables and brought them to the kitchen counter.

Once he finished preparing the ingredients, he heated some oil.

In reality, Sethos didn’t understand a thing Heizou was saying. But it didn’t look like Heizou was gonna come back any time soon. So, without another word, he turned and left the living room.

Sethos walked into the kitchen. He opened the fridge and looked through the shelves.

“Oh, come on.” Sethos frowned. “I said I was sorry.”

The deer opened his mouth and made a small sound. Sethos sighed heavily.

“I know, I know, I know,” he said. “I was stupid for not telling you.”

The deer made another sound.

“…And for making you worry.”

Yep, Heizou was still mad. The situation was a rather unique one, and the sight of a pouting deer sitting in the corner nearly cracked him up.

Stifling back a laugh, Sethos approached Heizou.

“You’re still mad aren’t you?”

The deer looked away and nodded.

But now, there was a different problem: Heizou’s anger caused him to turn into a deer again. He decided to give Heizou some space before trying to talk again.

Sethos walked into the living room. The deer sat in the corner of the room, a grumpy expression on his face.

As expected, Heizou was not happy. He went on about how Sethos neither answered his text messages nor told him that he was coming home late. Sethos’ phone ran out of battery, but even so, Heizou’s anger was reasonable. After all, he could have borrowed a friend’s phone.

When the time dawned on him, Sethos panicked. He realized he never told Heizou that he would be out for so long, and his boyfriend must have been worried sick. Excusing himself from his friend group, Sethos rushed to get back home.

It was already past midnight when Sethos arrived home. He didn’t usually stay out so late, but his friends invited him to hang out after work. Before he knew it, he lost track of time, and it was getting quite late.

Although I can’t guarantee a definite yes to your question, having people who are willing to do both roles will definitely be helpful!

Tbh they both seem like they’d try to avoid each other after an argument, which makes things worse for them. Eventually, though, they’ll realize it’s not worth losing their relationship over, so they’ll be forced to sit down and open up to each other
