The idea that the combined MMR is dangerous but separately the vaccines are fine was created out of whole cloth by Andrew Wakefield, a disgraced former doctor who had a patent on a non-combined version of the MMR. We've known his research was bunk for almost 30 years.

Spent this week on X because there was not enough information here about the military escalations between India and Pakistan. This platform has huge info gaps it needs to address if it wants wider adoption.

Epinowcast A community to discuss epinowcast and real-time infectious disease analysis more generally

Do you like situational awareness of infectious diseases (who doesn't). Do you like thinking about modelling with this aim in mind? Do you feel like its a bit of a niche and hard to find people to talk to about it?

We have a forum: community.epinowcast.org for you.

Didn't expect taking myself to the movies would be the balm that it was for my rapidly deteriorating attention span. Anyway, go watch Sinners.

In only a few months, we've rolled back the clock on measles eradication by more than three decades. The last time we hit this benchmark in 1990, 9 children died. It took ten more years and intensive vaccination efforts after that to declare it eliminated. That was 25 years ago.
