Self-confessed twitcher & West Midlands birder, thwarted by work, 2 kids + a wife. With a few moths, butterflies + dragonflies thrown in for good measure.

Did not expect to see a Pied Flycatcher today. Latest Gwent record. Might go back tomorrow to get it on the βbirds I have seen in the UK in Decemberβ list. Currently attempting to piece together the ring details. Ta to Chris for finding and Matt for passing on the news. #gwentbirding #birdingWales

30.11.2025 20:08 β π 7 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0No, 115 Black-headed Gulls were present on the lake, the most I have seen at this location. The Canada Geese were not in a significant enough number to reference. The star of the show - the Pink-footed Goose - is just right of the centre of the image.

The finale of the great TV comedy show Blackadder goes Forth.
Back then I didn't expect one of the funniest programmes ever to end with a scene that makes me cry every time I see it.
Every single time.
