You're right on this one. (I hate that we live in a world where the fact that there is such realistic looking AI out there-- with other things-- that it's making me question everything.)

In a world where this administration has repeatedly posted and reposted AI altered photographs and memes, this doesn't feel like an extraordinary claim.

But can it also be true that people can recreate real world events that *did* happen as new AI videos where they can alter what appears to be those original events?

I'm asking because people are showing places where you can pause and things like logos on cars disappear, where Pretti's head stretches in odd AI ways, and where part of the headlight appears to vanish as well.

I'm not asking if it was AI generated. I'm asking if it might have been AI augmented.

Is there any chance that the video that has been going around as been AI augmented?

Sorry for posting this, because it's disturbing, but it is important that we can all see this crucial moment. There is no disputing this order of events:

Pretti was disarmed (of the holstered weapon that he had a permit to carry).

And THEN he was murdered by ICE.

WOW! How did he not burst into flames the second he said that?

It's still a lie though. They didn't shoot an armed protestor. They disarmed Pretti and THEN they shot him. They shot a man who was not armed.

How can you not feel for his parents at this time?
Their son was a good man and this administration is trying to vilify him. We should all be grateful to the brave people who kept filming what took place, from multiple angles, so that all of us could be witnesses to what actually happened.

A reminder to the news media: “conflicting accounts” is what you say BEFORE the incontrovertible video evidence appears. After that, your job is to ask why one side is lying, not to repeat the lie and pretend no one knows the truth.

The videos clearly show that Pretti was disarmed when the ICE agents shot him. Try again. Dear New York Post writer who wrote this intellectually dishonest headline, however much Rupert Murdoch pays you, it can't be worth your soul.

Hopefully, around a month (or earlier) B4 the book goes on sale. And we find mistakes all the time-- from everyone, like words I left out of a script, or tails from balloons going to the wrong characters, or something that's colored wrong. We're human. It happens a lot. But that's why we go over it.
