Details:

In 1971, a 30-year-old Neal Adams sat down to crank out a Superman cover for Julie Schwartz. Took him an hour or so. It became one of the most iconic comic book covers of all time. Coming up at Heritage soon. Might be a million dollar piece.

...if I said I didn't miss it sometimes, but I'm 100% honest when I say I would NEVER go back to that. Seriously. It'd KILL me.

The frustrating thing is you can't put any of that in the credits for context. Over time, the work has to stand on its own. You don't get bonus points for the crazy sched.

...but once the trains on the tracks were moving, me & multiple creative teams were getting those issues out 2-to-3 times a month, all plotted out of sequence (so teams could keep drawing), and scripted in sequence.

It's a crazy way to put out a book. It was a crazy time in my life. I'd be lying...

Sometimes the magic ingredient is time.

Silver Surfer #11 was something I worked on, on the side, for many months.
Same for Ren & Stimpy Special #3 (6 months). While still getting out issues before-and-after on a monthly schedule.

There was a LOT of lead time at the start of my ASM run...

Maybe this will be the time that a "reasonable Republican" in Congress will hold the ball still...

Sad to hear about the passing of the Michelangelo of Movie posters, RENATO CASARO. The Man painted so many iconic posters, specially in the 70s/80s: CONAN, TERMINATOR, DUNE, TOTAL RECALL, DANCE WITH THE WOLVES, BLOW OUT, FLASH GORDON, RAMBO, NEVER-ENDING STORY, and the list goes on and on. 1/2

I don't remember *when* I said this, but this does sound like something I would've said.

Only Murders In the Building S5E5 at the 28 minute 23 second mark got a big laugh out of me.

I hit the little "Back 10 Sec" button 5 times to watch the gag on a loop. Selena Gomez's timing is perfect.

I believe I'm listed as a guest for New York Comic Con.

I'm not attending. Honest. I currently have no plans to attend the show.

I've done a LOT of shows the past 3 years and I'm taking a break from them for the foreseeable future. Mainly for health reasons. Sorry.

Loved every bit of it.

And a special footnote-- I saw Wreck It Ralph a crazy number of times, and (no offense to the team who made it) it wasn't for the movie. It was for the short before it: Paperman.

I loved Paperman!

I would see the short, the movie, and then stay in the theater to watch the short again. And then go.

I remember being obsessed w/ the first Toy Story. Like-- what the hell was that?! You can DO that?!
Last Crusade and ROTJ, obviously.
I was really down when Moana came out-- and it really cheered me up-- especially the winning-through-kindness-and-understanding moment at the climax. Saw it a LOT.

Went to the Spider-Verse LA premiere, the after party, went to bed, the next day I hopped a plane, landed, got home, showered, grabbed a cab, and saw the Marvel screener in NYC. Saw it in every possible format (Dolby was best) and w/ every family member and friend I could grab. Thank you, AMC Stubs!

What movie did you rewatch the most during its initial theater release?
For me: No contest. Raiders. My all-time fave.
Empire: I was primed for multiple rewatches.
Spider-Man 2: I was an adult w/ a bank account + it was Spider-Man 2.
Spider-Verse: AMC Stubs + skin in the game.
5th place: Star Wars.

This was the 1st movie I saw in a theater.
The weird thing was, I did *not* become obsessed with it.
We didn't have VCRs back then. The thought of going back and rewatching it wasn't really a thing for me...

...until Star Wars. And then-- oh Yeah-- went back and rewatched that in the theater a LOT!
