Apparently the cable on the handlebars will be pulling on the valve that lets the nitrogen move from the place where the seat post ends back to the bottle where it is stored.

So I have to take it off and look for a kink or a place where its catching.

All went well except that the dropper post kept sinking so I gave up in frustration about 1/2 way up.
Now have to diassemble dropper post to find out why its not stable.
