It's ok to allow Alberta to try to meet reasonable criteria to advance their project. If the criteria include industry and indigenous buy-in, an agreement with BC, and environmental protections, then the project should proceed. If there is no economic, political or environmental case, it will fail.

Viola Fletcher, Oldest Survivor of the Tulsa Race Massacre, Dies at 111

As a survivor of the Tulsa Race Massacre, Viola Ford Fletcher bravely shared her story so that weโ€™d never forget this painful part of our history. Michelle and I are grateful for her lifelong work to advance civil rights, and send our love to her family.

Israel has done very well with its F-35's. I would like to know how reliant Israel is on the US for maintaining and optimizing the software and weaponry for their fleet.

Doug Fordโ€™s โ€œGreybeltโ€ isnโ€™t a jokeโ€”itโ€™s a symptom of corruption.
CBC reporting shows his govโ€™t is stalling the Greenbelt review while developers profit.
Defunding CBC doesnโ€™t save moneyโ€”it saves Ford.

The bottom line is that the US's higher per capita GDP mainly benefits a small number of US billionaires, and the average US person is actually worse off than the average Canadian.

Itโ€™s been tough for Canada- our neighbour and former best friend attacked our economy with tariffs and our sovereignty with illegal threats of annexation.

Thanks Prime Minister Carney for the constant good news and thanks to those sharing this news - goodness knows we need this.

Which means that our universities and research institutes should invest heavily in understanding and developing well-regulated AI. Thereโ€™s been enormous progress over the past decade, much of it originating in Canada. You canโ€™t turn back the clock.

Israel has made effective use of their F-35's. For Canada to do that would require a much larger commitment than simply buying and maintaining the fleet. It's also possible that a mixed F-35 + Gripen E fleet might make sense for Canada.

The NDP had zero leverage. Forcing an election would have led to the end of the NDP as a national party.

Now that condo prices are coming down, more people will be able to afford to buy them. Next that needs to happen for houses.

#Canada tomorrow is budget day. If it passes, Canada will fly. If it doesnโ€™t pass, we go to election ( in which case for a Christmas election, we should stuff our stocking with 190+ Liberal seats)

We need 2 votes OR 4 abstentions (which would for a 169โ€“169 tie so Speaker breaks tie with yes vote)

After a reply, Iโ€™d like to clarify: this was not a feeling, it was a fact: the world was improving from human rights (womenโ€™s, LGBTQ etc) to the rapid and wonderful progress in medical treatments, vaccine access and development etc.

The tragedy is weโ€™re going backwards and our children know this.

The devastating irony that will become painfully apparent when things get really bad, much worse than they are now, is that many people are basing their decision to ignore the reality of Covid19 on the idea that science, medicine, doctors, and scientists will bail us out when we need it.

Yes, the $34 billion total cost of the
Trans Mountain Pipeline
expansion includes the project's own legal costs incurred while addressing and navigating the various lawsuits and regulatory requirements that opposed the project. These were considered part of the "reasonably and justifiably incurred" costs by the Crown corporation.

He also disqualified himself by claiming the contingent legal expenses are not capital costs. Try googling the TMX cost overrun and then ask Google AI whether of not that includes legal expenses.
