NEW: Elon Musk's Grok chatbot will, with minimal prompting, provide residential addresses of everyday Americans.

Prompts as simple as "[name] address" immediately returned accurate home addresses of private citizens β€”Β alongside other personal info we didn't ask for.

Sounds great for everyday people looking for privacy. But I think journalists and other potentially targeted people should use Cape, which has the same features plus protection against SS7 attacks, SIM-swapping and, in the future, will include IMSI rotation.

Little did they know, live video from campus CCTVs were being fed straight to DHS.

It's part of a little-known, decades-long surveillance effort built on the back of college football.

Early planning documents reviewed by WIRED describe a statewide transport grid designed for steady detainee transfers across Texas, with ICE estimating each trip to average 100 miles.
