I think it's a developer's mindset. You have a vision for a building you want to build, you insist on it happening, and it does. He responds from this to the rest of the world. And there's no one to so him.
Apparently, Trump actually thought this would work like Venezuela. He would kill the leader, and someone would take over in a few days that would be cooperative.
We knew this, but it still seems astonishing. He really thinks whatever fantasy he has will come true.

Suppose there are mines but Iran says they didn't put them there, have no idea who did. Maybe left over from WW II? Dunno.
A high-powered Chicago law firm announced a plan Monday to push for the appointment of a special prosecutor to investigate and potentially charge the agents who carried out Operation Midway Blitz.

I just saw "The Bride!" and I feel like it's being misunderstood. It's a mixed genre film. Yes, it has seams. Have you looked at Frankenstein? It's a fun movie.

Every country that has built out their solar energy / wind energy infrastructure is saying "let's keep this up." Every one that didn't is saying, "why didn't we do that?"
Obviously he can do that. He can do a lot worse, with just the press of a button.
Yeah. "Adolescence", for example, was excellent.
It's remarkable that it's taken so long for the stock market to recognize that we're headed for a global recession.
I read the news.
I'm pretty sure the most dangerous man in the world is the malignant narcissist with nuclear weapons.
This is what I've been saying. With modern technology it should be relatively simple to line up the Earth's axis with its rotational axis around the sun. Voila, no more need for daylight savings. Easy peasy.
This is the problem with Netflix shows. They put a bunch of names in the show, and know that x# people will watch, because of the names, it's free with the subscription, etc. It's lazy. But when "Daytrippers" was made, you had to motivate people to watch. Bygone era.
Their acting, improv, rapport, make you really interested in them. You want to spend time with them, see what happens, even though very little does. Whereas with "Vladimir", even though it starts with a big reveal, you don't care at all. The actors seem like they've never met.
We were watching "Vladimir", a new Netflix series, then we got bored and I finished watching "Daytrippers", an old movie with Parker Posey, Stanley Tucci, Anne Meara, etc. The contrast could not be stronger. "Daytrippers" is just four people driving around in a car, but you're interested in them.
At this point we have Russia giving Iran the locations of US ships so they can bomb them, and China supplying Iran with materials for rocket fuel. The United States, Russia, and China are all moving in the same direction, and it's not towards peace.

There's probably a ton of real life examples of this.
I have a zero tolerance rule for insults. You insult me, you're blocked. Works great. Super satisfying.
It's his most relatable characteristic.
I know a lot of Fetterman voters, and there's not one of them who doesn't regret their vote.
That said, as terrible as Fetterman is, he's still not a Republican. He's good on LGBTQ, abortion, minimum wage.
But he won't survive the next Democratic primary.
I'm reading "Abundance", about the prospects of an end soon to worldwide poverty, and Nietzsche. "Abundance", from 2012, already seems wildly out of date (e.g., Moore's law was ending when they wrote it; since then we've had Musk, Trump, and AI). But Nietzsche is full fresh, difficult, and relevant.
The worst SO FAR. Imagine how bad they would be if they were also competent.
The Democrats (and some Republicans) harassing Kristi Noem into saying stuff that finally got her fired shows that Democrats can, in fact, do something. It's not a hell of a lot, but it is something.
This article explains why. We did not prepare for Iran's drones even though Ukraine was ready and willing to help against the exact same weapon.
This is what you get when the qualifications of your SecDef are "looks good on tv" and "promised to stop drinking."

We may actually lose this war. It seems incredible to say, but we're using million dollar missiles to shoot down drones that cost like $11. We could run out of the missiles before Iran runs out of drones. And then we'll have to, well, withdraw our ships to a safe distance.
Well, at least now we won't have gendered insults for the Secretary of DHS.
BREAKING: President Trump announced that Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem will be stepping down at the end of the month after serving for just over a year in her role and tapping Sen. Markwayne Mullin to take over her post.
