I’m not sure it comes across exactly as I intended, but there’s a look in Shepard’s expression that caught my eye.

I admit, I can get emotional during the opening of ME3, and while Shepard can be stoic and professional, I just know what they’re seeing is breaking them inside.

Dragon Age 2 loads your Origins save.

Dragon Age Inquisition uses a website to log past choices and create your “world state.” It uses a “default” if none is imported. (Which is fine! The default is designed to keep it smooth for new players 😊)

Veilguard asks about choices in character creation.

Each game has a new player protagonist, but past choices can change a game’s story.

It’s less reactive than Mass Effect, but it’s worth doing in my view. That said, every game is still perfectly enjoyable on its own as well.

So don’t feel like you’ve missed out. Great for replay value.

It’s my favorite series alongside Mass Effect. 😊

I know it might be too much, but DAI also benefits from importing your world state from past games into it, and so it might be worth diving in again *after* DAO and DA2.

Veilguard, taking place a decade later and half a continent away, has a simpler built in import system. DAI’s is finicky. Enjoy!

Whatever suits your own playing wants and needs. 😊

In any case, I recommend Veilguard last as it’s a follow up to DAI and a capstone on the series. I’d play it *after* the rest as the reveals contained inside it will spoil/recontextualize some of the earlier lore.
